Cumberland Avenue Road Closure for Utility Work [All closures and work are weather permitting]
(UT Campus/Ft. Sanders Area) Cumberland Avenue Road Closure [January 8] – KUB crews will close a short section of Cumberland Avenue, between Eighteenth Street and Nineteenth Street, from midnight Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday, January 8, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. Alternate routes include 18th Street, 19th Street, Lake Avenue, and White Avenue. Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
