FOLLOW UP PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING DRAFT FORM BASED CODE FOR CUMBERLAND AVENUE

Location: Small Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main Street
Who: This meeting is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. Property owners within the proposed Cumberland Avenue District are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be hosted by the City’s Office of Redevelopment.
Purpose: This will be the second public meeting with consultants, Code Studio, of Austin, TX who are drafting the proposed Form Based Code for Cumberland Avenue. This meeting will address the comments received at the April 4th public meeting and will offer an opportunity for questions and comments.

CAMA Update
The monthly meeting of the Cumberland Avenue Merchants Association was held on June 5th, at 3:00 pm in the Goal Post Tavern. The meeting was attended by representatives of University Liquors, KPD, City of Knoxville, UT Federal Credit Union, the S.E.E. Center, Metropolitan Drug Commission, a member of City Council, and WOW 3D Group. The city staff provided an update on the Streetscape project, the proposed Form Based Code, the project at 2010 Cumberland Avenue, the University Commons project, and parking within the district. The merchants provided updates regarding business during the past month.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 3rd at 3:00 pm in the Goal Poast Tavern; please feel free to attend.
