July 13th Update
CAMA Update
The Merchants Association held its monthly meeting on July11th at 3:00 pm in the Goal Post Tavern. Representatitives were on hand from the City of Knoxville, Goal Post Tavern, Regions, KPD, UT Federal Credit Union, University Liquors, and Walgreens. The City of Knoxville presented an update on the Streetscape project and the Form Code. The city also noted the Knoxville News Sentinel article that highlighted the streetscape project available here. KPD highlighted issues in the area since the last meeting and encouraged attendees to visit http://www.raidsonline.com/ to review police data for the area. The next meeting will be at its regularly scheduled date of Wednesday, August 1, 2012.

A free public Shakespeare Festival playing 2 Shakespeare plays "As you Like it" "Richard III"

July 6th Update
REMINDER: GARBAGE DAY CHANGE FOR FORT SANDERS NEIGHBORHOOD
Time: 3:00 - 4:00 pm
Location: Goal Post Tavern, 1824 Cumberland Avenue

The City of Knoxville is changing the day garbage is collected in the Fort Sanders area to Mondays.
Starting Monday, July 9, Waste Connections, the City’s contractor, will pick up garbage on Mondays each week instead of Fridays. Garbage will not be picked up on Friday, July 6, but will be collected on Monday, July 9.
